Bring Pori Moni’s assaulters to justice: BNP MP in parliament

BNP MP Harunur Rashid today -- at the parliament -- demanded that the law enforcement agencies bring those to book who allegedly assaulted and attempted to rape actress Pori Moni.

He also demanded that the perpetrators behind the death of a college girl in a Dhaka flat be punished.

Participating in discussions on two different bills, Harun -- elected from Chapainawabganj-3 -- said that if the perpetrators involved in the two incidents were "general people", law enforcement would have taken actions against them.

Referring to Pori Moni, Harun said the renowned actress has been seeking justice for four days following attempted rape and assault.

"Media has published news in this regard. Is it false?" questioned the BNP MP.

"Home Minister (Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal) is not in parliament. I want to draw his attention to this. Persons involved in this incident must be brought to justice," Harun said.
