Poor visibility: Biman flight returns to Dhaka after failing to land in Kathmandu airport
A flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines was forced to return to Dhaka after it failed to land in Kathmandu Airport today.
Before coming back to the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport, the aircraft hovered in the sky for around three hours, sources at HSIA said.
The flight BG-71 left the HSIA at 11:10am with around a hundred passengers on board and was supposed to land in Kathmandu at 12:10pm.
But due to poor visibility, the air traffic control of the Kathmandu Airport didn't give the aircraft permission to land there, Group Captain AHM Touhid-Ul-Ahsan, director, HSIA, told The Daily Star.
