Biman to operate two more flights to Saudi Arabia on September 29 and 30

Biman Bangladesh Airlines is going to operate two more flights on the Dhaka-Riyadh and Dhaka-Jeddah route on September 29 and 30 for migrant workers who bought tickets for March 18-19 and March 18-20.

Before resuming its passenger flight operations from October 1, the national flag carrier has scheduled these two flights paving the way for more stranded Bangladeshi expatriate workers to return to their workplaces in the Gulf country.

Earlier yesterday, the national airliner announced a Dhaka-Jeddah flight on September 26 and a Dhaka-Riyadh flight on September 27 for those who bought tickets for March 16 and 17.

In a WhatsApp message, Biman Managing Director and CEO Mokabbir Hossain today requested passengers with return tickets for March 18-19 on Riyadh route and March 18-20 on Jeddah route to contact the Biman Sales Office for booking for the new dates with necessary documents, including tickets, passports, approval from apps/ links specified in Saudi Arabia.

Booking will be on a first-come-first-served basis. Other passengers will also be notified for booking in phases subject to approval of new flights from the Saudi authority, he said.

"So other passengers are now being asked not to crowd the counter unnecessarily," said the Biman MD.

A Covid-19 negative certificate is mandatory for passengers, who must reach Saudi Arabia within 48 hours of sample collection.
