SHAMIM Ahmed came up with his second poetry book 'Je Prohor Kuashar Kache Reeni' launched in the book fair 2015. It has already been placed in the best seller list of 2015 and still going strong. I won't call it his second endeavor as I have noticed poetry and his life going hand in hand for an endless period of time. The writer creates poetry from very simple, day to day life to make an ordinary moment extra ordinary. I can only call it his second effort of assimilation to bring it amid the readers. Making general readers to be able to relate life with poetry is the most difficult challenge a poet faces and Shamim Ahmed definitely succeeded in doing so in 'Je prohor Kuashar Kache Reeni' which I find as the most achieving point. The cover is wonderfully done giving a touch of romance from the very beginning when the book is taken in hand. 

Shamim Ahmed being an exceptionally straight spoken person in nature loves to address what he believes very straight and forward which is evident in his poetries also. He reiterates that there is nothing joyful about poem and poetry. The poet strongly believes that the best of the best of poetry comes from melancholy, sadness and that poem and happiness cannot go hand in hand. 'The poet of sadness' thus takes us to this breathtaking journey of knowing the known in a very unique and unknown way.
