Tahmima Anam Wins O Henry Award
Tahmima Anam's short story "Garments" is one of the winners of the O Henry Award this year. She is one of a group 20 writers so honored for their outstanding fiction. Anam is the daughter of Mahfuz Anam, editor and publisher of The Daily Star, and a recipient of the 2008 Commonwealth Writers Prize. Her award-winning story will form part of the 2017 O Henry Prize Stories Anthology, to be published by Anchor Books this September.
