Biman extends suspension of flights till May 15
Biman Bangladesh Airlines today extended the suspension of all international and domestic flights till May 15 amid the global Covid-19 pandemic.
"Taking into account the evolving situation over Covid-19, Biman Bangladesh Airlines has cancelled all domestic and international flights till May 15," Biman said in a notice.
With the suspension of its two remaining flights on London and Manchester routes on March 30, the flag carrier folded its wings to all 17 international routes.
Earlier on April 28, Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh extended the ongoing ban on passenger flight operations with all countries, except for China, until May 7 to contain the transmission of Covid-19 in the country.
The countries are Bahrain, Bhutan, Hong Kong, India, Kuwait, Malaysia, Maldives, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Sri Lanka, Singapore, Thailand, Turkey, UAE and UK, said a CAAB press release.
