BRAC Bank, BPC partner to simplify payments for tourists

BRAC Bank signed a partnership agreement with Bangladesh Parjatan Corporation (BPC) to introduce seamless payment solutions for local and international tourists.

Khairuddin Ahmed, head of merchant acquiring, retail banking of BRAC Bank, and Md Nazrul Islam, general manager (commercial) of Bangladesh Parjatan Corporation, signed the deal at the latter's office in the capital's Agargaon recently, said a press release.

Under this collaboration, the corporation will accept payments through BRAC Bank's Point of Sale (POS) terminals and Bangla QR codes, allowing tourists to transact using Visa, MasterCard, JCB, Diner's Club, and Discover Card.

This initiative enhances convenience by enabling quick and secure transactions at hotels, motels, resorts, restaurants, and international airports.

It ensures a hassle-free experience for international visitors and makes financial transactions smoother and more efficient.

AKM Tareq, senior zonal head (north) of the distribution network at the bank; Khairuddin Ahmed, head of merchant acquiring, retail banking; Faysal Haider, regional head of Dhaka west region; Zia Ul Haque, cluster manager of Dhaka west region; and Md Ashraful Alam, head of alliances of merchant acquiring, were present.

Saima Shahin Sultana, chairman of the corporation; Jamil Ahmed, director (commercial); AKM Tarek, director (administration); Md Noor-e-Alam, director (finance); Md Nazrul Islam, general manager (commercial); and ANM Mostadud Dastogir, general manager (commercial), among others, were also present.
