Islami Bank Chairman Arastoo Khan resigns
Chairman of Islami Bank Bangladesh Ltd Arastoo Khan today resigned on personal ground.
“I could not take the load of works,” Arastoo told The Daily Star over phone.
IBBL held a board meeting this afternoon where his (Arastoo) resignation was accepted, source said.
Arastoo, a former additional secretary at the Economic Relations Division, became a director of the bank as the representative of Armada Spinning Mills and became chairman on January 5, 2017.
He was supposed to be chairman for three years, but he resigned after 15 months of his joining.
