Bangas sees Q1 profit surge by 16%
Bangas Ltd, a leading biscuit maker in Bangladesh, reported profit and revenue growth in the first quarter of its current financial year.
The company's profit grew 16 percent year-on-year to Tk 56.17 in Q1.
Net turnover rose to Tk 4.52 crore, up 8 percent from the same period last year.
As a result of the higher profit, earnings per share increased to Tk 0.07 from Tk 0.06 the year prior.
Additionally, the net operating cash flow per share (NOCFPS) improved to Tk 0.07 in the negative, from Tk 0.11 in the negative a year ago.
Founded in 1979, Bangas Ltd has 125 distributors, with a distribution network spanning across Bangladesh, the US, Europe, and the Middle East, according to its website.
Shares of Bangas were up 0.64 percent to Tk 94.5 as of midday trading today at the Dhaka Stock Exchange.
