British American Tobacco Bangladesh Company Limited today said it is going to invest Tk 60.70 crore in order to purchase equipment and a centralised uninterrupted power supply device.

In a filing on the Dhaka Stock Exchange, the multinational company said its board has approved the investment decision.

The company will use the money to purchase winnower tobacco recovery equipment, hinge-lid maker and packer line, and a centralised uninterrupted power supply device.

The investment would enhance the capacity and productivity of the company and would be funded from internal sources and bank financing, the filing said.
