IHSB Inter-School Business Carnival ends today
The Second IHSB Inter-School Business Carnival, organised by the IHSB Business Club and supported by OkoTex, has kicked off at the International Hope School Bangladesh in Dhaka.
The three-day event, running from November 15 to 17, aims to foster business and entrepreneurial skills among students, said a press release.
Over 600 students from 50 schools are participating in competitions like "Friedman's Fallacy", addressing economic challenges; "Pitch Perfect", showcasing business plans; and "Marketing Mania", testing strategic skills. Top ideas will be rewarded by Biman Bangladesh Airlines.
British Deputy High Commissioner James Goldman, speaking at the event's inauguration, highlighted the UK's commitment to investing in Bangladeshi youth education.
CEO of Sterling Education, Timothy Donald Fisher, also reaffirmed support for creating educational opportunities.
Alongside the competitions, an exhibition features products from 20 business groups and student-run stalls. The carnival will conclude today [November 17]with speeches, a cultural performance by Shunno, and a celebration of innovation.
