Export import activities through Sonamasjid land port will remain closed for six days from today for Eid-ul-Adha.

Importers and exporters took the decision to keep the port in Chapainawabganj closed, said Mainul Islam, manager of private port operator Panama-Sonamasjid Port Link Ltd.

Trade through Mohodipur of Maldah district in West Bengal will also remain closed during the period, he said.

Trade will begin again on July 25, Islam added.
