Stocks advance for the third day
Stocks rose for the third consecutive day recovering from the downward trend of the previous week.
The DSEX, the premier index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange, gained 14.29 points or 0.27 percent to 5,240.34 as of 11:06 am today.
The market showed a positive momentum, as 223 issues advanced, 93 declined, and 65 remained unchanged.
Total turnover stood at Tk 155 crore in the first hour of trading.
DBH First Mutual Fund led the gains, rising over 10 percent, while shares of Emerald Oil Industries were plunged over 9 percent.
At the Chittagong Stock Exchange, CSE All Share Price Index lost 0.24 points to 14,601.96.
