Crown Cement PLC has announced a 21 percent cash dividend for the year that ended on June 30, 2024.

The announcement came at the cement manufacturer's 30th annual general meeting (AGM), which was held virtually recently, the company said in a press release.

Mohammed Jahangir Alam, chairman of the cement manufacturing company, presided over the meeting.

The shareholders also approved the financial statements, auditors' report, report of the board of directors, election of the board of directors, appointment of the statutory auditors and the corporate governance compliance auditors in the AGM.

The meeting was attended by Md Alamgir Kabir, vice-chairman of the company, Mollah Mohammad Majnu, managing director, Md Mizanur Rahman Mollah, additional managing director, Mohammed Almas Shimul, director, Prof M Abu Eusuf, independent director, and Masud Khan, chief adviser of the board.

Md Mozharul Islam, senior general manager and company secretary of the cement manufacturer, conducted the meeting.

Md Ashrafuzzaman and Md Abdul Ahad, sponsor shareholders of the company, and Mohammad Ahasan Ullah, chief financial officer, along with other high officials of the company joined the meeting.
