ICB declares 2% dividend

The Investment Corporation of Bangladesh (ICB) announced a 2 percent cash dividend for the year ending on June 30, 2024.

The announcement came at the corporation's 48th annual general meeting (AGM), which was held virtually recently, according to a press release from the ICB.

Prof Abu Ahmed, chairman of the ICB, presided over the meeting.

ICB earned a solo and consolidated (with subsidiaries) net profit of Tk 20 crore and Tk 32 crore, respectively, in the FY 2023-2024

During the period under review, the corporation made an aggregated investment of Tk 2,335 crore in the capital market and recovered Tk 951 crore as dividends, margin loans, project loans, and other loans/advances.

The total transaction of ICB and its subsidiary companies in both the bourses was Tk 13,079 crore, which is 27.76 percent less than that of Tk 18,105 crore in the previous year.

The ICB managing director along with other directors of the ICB and a significant number of shareholders joined the meeting.

They approved the annual report and audited accounts of the corporation for the FY 2023-2024. They expressed their satisfaction with the performance of ICB and its pivotal role during the critical period of the capital market.
