Drip Irrigation secures € 32,330 in Track II funding from Orange Corners Bangladesh

Drip Irrigation BD Ltd has successfully secured EUR 32,330 in Track II funding from the Orange Corners Bangladesh programme, comprising a mix of grant and loan support. 

This milestone builds on their earlier achievement of unlocking EUR 5,000 in Track I funding in June 2024 upon graduating from the Incubation phase from June to December 2023. 

In total, they have received equity-free funding of EUR 37,330 - equivalent to over TK 48 lakh - to fuel the growth of their business.

Drip Irrigation BD Ltd is at the forefront of addressing water scarcity and energy challenges in agriculture. Their innovative IoT-based Solar Drip Irrigation System optimizes water usage, reduces reliance on non-renewable energy, and empowers farmers by automating irrigation processes. By integrating solar energy and advanced technology, the company delivers sustainable solutions that lower operational costs and enhance efficiency for farmers in water-scarce regions.

A graduate of the first cohort, Drip Irrigation BD Ltd, was represented in the incubation programme by its Co-founder & CEO Tahera, and its Co-founder & COO Md. Riaj Uddin. 

Speaking on the impact of Orange Corners Bangladesh had on Drip Irrigation BD Ltd, Riaj Uddin said, "The Orange Corners Bangladesh Incubation Programme has been instrumental in our journey. The mentorship, industry connections, and access to funding provided by the programme have enabled us to scale our operations and bring sustainable agricultural solutions to farmers across Bangladesh. This latest round of funding will allow us to expand our reach and continue addressing critical resource challenges in agriculture."

The Orange Corners Bangladesh Programme, initiated by the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands and Netherlands Enterprise Agency, and implemented by YY Ventures, SAJIDA Foundation and BYLC, is designed to support young Bangladeshi entrepreneurs in launching and scaling impactful businesses. 

The six-month incubation programme focuses on immersive training and masterclasses, coaching and KPI monitoring, and access to networks and equity-free funding of up to 50,000 Euros. The programme's tailored approach has enabled impact-driven enterprises like Drip Irrigation BD Ltd. to refine strategies, secure investments, and establish partnerships with government bodies, NGOs, and industry leaders, amplifying their reach and impact.

Applications for Cohort 4 of the Incubation Programme by Orange Corners Bangladesh are now open. Early-stage entrepreneurs with innovative, sustainable business ideas are encouraged to apply by December 7, 2024.
