'Pusti The Verses of Light': TK Group announces Hifzul Quran Competition to inspire young hafizes
"Pusti Verses of Light" Hifzul Quran competition, organised by TK Group, was announced on Saturday to recognise the talent and Quran recitation skills of young Hafizes in the country.
With the slogan "Konthey Chorak Pobitro Baani," the competition will start in December. It will look for young people from all over Bangladesh who are dedicated to memorising and reciting the Quran beautifully.
During a press conference at the Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel in Dhaka, guests highlighted the importance of supporting young Hafizes and encouraging their growth.
TK Group's Business Director Mohammad Mofassel Haque said, "This special event to spread the message of the Holy Quran will help us grow our knowledge. We have invited famous scholars from around the world to be judges in this competition. Their expert advice will make the competition even more meaningful."
"This time, our event will be different. Women will also be able to take part in the competition. We hope to have everyone's support all the way to the grand finale," said TK Group's HR Director Almas Raisul Ghani.
The group's Head of Brand and Communication Mohammad Ibrahim Khalil highlighted the importance of encouraging and supporting young Hafizes. TK Group's Advisor Md. Mahfuzur Rahman wished for the success of the competition.
Along with the heads of business and sales, other senior officials from all units of TK Group were also present in the press conference.
The competition will be aired on DBC channel during the upcoming holy month of Ramadan.
The competition will be judged by well-known Islamic scholars. The Chief Judge will be Qari Sheikh Ahmad Bin Yusuf Al-Azhari, Chairman of the International Quran Recitation Organization (Iqra). Other judges include Hafiz Maulana Abdul Qader Rahmani, former Imam of Al-Kamal Mosque in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, and Hatem Jamil Mahmoud Suhemat, an Islamic scholar from Jordan.
The total prize pool for the competition is equivalent to TK 40 lakh. The first-place winner will receive TK 5 lakh in cash, along with a full scholarship to an international university. They will also get the chance to perform Umrah Hajj with one guardian. The second-place winner will receive a full scholarship to an international university, TK 3 lakh in cash, and the opportunity to perform Umrah Hajj. The third-place winner will get TK 2 lakh. Winners from the fourth to the thirtieth position will also receive cash prizes.
This competition is open to young Hafizes aged 16 or younger. Participants will be chosen from different regions of Bangladesh, and the top contestants from each region will be invited to the final round in Dhaka.
The 'Pusti Verses of Light' competition aims to inspire and support the next generation of Hafizes. It will also help spread the message of unity and faith across the country, especially during the holy month of Ramadan.
