iPhone users start enjoying 4G in Bangladesh
Good news for iPhone users in Bangladesh!
Nearly three months after the launch of fourth-generation (4G) mobile internet, the iPhone users have started to enjoy the speedy service as the country code on the Apple handsets is unlocked.
In order to experience 4G, iPhone users need to update their device to the latest iOS version.
Users can know by dialing *121*3232# (Grameenphone), *123*44# (Robi) and 12151 (Banglalink) whether their SIM card is 4G.
Grameenphone users can set 4G in an iPhone set by going to Settings>Mobile data>Mobile Data Options>Voice & Data> 4G, said GP in a Facebook post recently.
iPhone X, iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus, iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus, iPhone 6,iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone SE, iPhone 5s are the computable device models for the latest iOS upgrade, GP said on its website.
Around 15 lakh iPhone users could not avail 4G services since top mobile operators found that Bangladesh country code '+880' had been blocked for 4G in all apple handsets.
All the three private mobile phone operators -- Grameenphone, Robi, and Banglalink -- opened 4G doors to the iPhone users since Saturday.
The telco operators have already announced about the service on their individual web and social media portals.
They sent a communiqué in this regard to the iPhone authorities but did not get any reply yet.
