What to expect from Apple's upcoming event
Apple are not done with new product announcements for this year as they gear up for the iPad Pro and Mac event scheduled for the 30th of October, 2018. The event's tagline "There's more in the making" and the colourfully designed Apple logo variants hint towards signs of what's to come.
The company is most likely to unveil the new iPad Pro at the event. It is reported that the device will come with slim bezels and Face ID making it the first Apple product outside of the iPhone to have Face ID unlocking capabilities. Rumours suggest that the new iPad Pro will come in two sizes, an 11 and 12.9 inch display sizes and will have USB-C support instead of Apple's proprietary Lighting port.
The event may also feature the first time showcase for the Macbook Air laptop's long awaited successor. This device has been in development for some time now and it's expected that the laptop will have slimmer bezels than the Air and have a high-resolution Retina display.
Apple has already released iOS 12 with the launch of three new iPhones this year, so it won't be surprising if they share details of an iOS 12.1 update. Apple Watch Series 4 was also released to great acclaim so we can expect some details about an upcoming update for watchOS which will enable the Series 4's EKG functionality.
While most tech companies have all but wrapped up for the year, Apple may just have a few extra tricks up their sleeves, waiting to be unveiled come the 30th of October, 2018.
