Daffodil International University holds orientation for freshers of Fall 2023

Daffodil International University (DIU) celebrated the orientation program for the students of Fall 2023 on July 12 at Shawdhinata Sommelon Kendro at Daffodil Smart City, Dhaka, with the theme "Students Lead University". 

DIU VC Prof. Dr M. Lutfar Rahman was present at the orientation program as the Chief Guest. Prof. Dr S. M. Mahbub Ul Haque Majumder, Pro-Vice Chancellor; Mominul Haque Majumder, Treasurer; Prof. Dr Md. Ismail Jabiullah, Controller of Examination; Prof. Dr Mostafa Kamal, Dean, Permanent Campus; and Dr Nadir Bin Ali, Registrar, were present as Special Guests. Conducted by Dr Syed Mizanur Rahman, Director of Student Affairs, the program was attended by Deans and Heads of different departments of the university.

DIU introduced the "DIU Blue Award 2023" for the first time through this year's fresher's reception ceremony and awarded it to Anik Hasan Joy, a student from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, for his outstanding performance in sports, education, and human values. 

Prof. Dr M Lutfar Rahman said that DIU has become a top-ranked university in Bangladesh with the contribution of students, teachers, officials, and parents. Recently, DIU was recognised in the QS World University Rankings. In future, the university aims to be one of the world's best universities. He also said that 1,300 graduates of DIU already have become entrepreneurs. They have created more than four thousand employment opportunities for DIU Graduates.
