Stamford University protests violence against women

On March 10, 2025, Stamford University Bangladesh organised a rally protesting the ongoing incidents of violence against women. The event was attended by the Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Dr Farahnaaz Feroz; Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr Moniruzzaman; Pro-Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr Md Younus Mia; and Board of Trustees member Rumana Haque Rita.
The speakers strongly condemned the recent incidents of violence against women. The Chairman expressed sadness about the issue and criticised those who blame women's clothing for such crimes. The Vice-Chancellor emphasised the need for justice and stated, "We demand the implementation of the legal advisor's statement to complete Asiya's trial within the next three months."
The speakers called for a proper investigation and the highest punishment for the criminals as soon as possible. During the protest, students raised slogans, recited poems, and gave speeches demanding justice.
