Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB) has achieved the joint-top spot among private universities in Bangladesh in the prestigious Times Higher Education (THE) Interdisciplinary Science Rankings 2025. IUB is placed in the 401-500 bracket globally and ranked fifth among all public and private universities in the country.

With this, UCB now offers several full UK honours degrees, which can be completed in three years in Bangladesh. Amateur Experimental Rocketry Dhaka (AERD), in collaboration with the Dr. Anwarul Abedin Institute of Innovation (D2A2I) and the American International University of Bangladesh (AIUB), successfully launched their first weather balloon on January 12, at 10:30 AM at the AIUB Campus.
