A Celebration of Trees
The enchanting Buddha's hand, a Tk 300,000 cactus, fragrances of a hundred fruits and a feast of flowers are the highlights of this year's National Tree Fair 2017 being held at the capital city's Sher-e-Bangla Nagar. This carnival of nature greets visitors whilst lulling them into a forgotten sense of serenity; trees of many species whisper their many tales through the rustle of their leaves. The air itself works as a purifier here, sweet and rich in oxygen. Like an oasis of colours in the middle of Dhaka's concrete jungle, the National Tree Fair is a treat for tree-lovers, a muse for the poets and a respite for those seeking some semblance of solace in the city where time never stops!
