The Cost of Foundry

Bogura, is the central hub of the country's foundry and light engineering workshops. More than 85 percent of country's agricultural equipment, including centrifugal pump and all kinds of spare machine parts, are manufactured in 1,000 such factories in Bogura. However, around 20,000 men, women and children are working in these workshops in hazardous environments, which may pose many a risk to their physical well-beings. In many of these shops, children are even seen working in polluted areas without any safety gear.
