2 Abrar murder accused remanded again
A Dhaka court today placed two accused of Buet student Abrar murder case on three-day remand each and sent another to jail on competition of their five-day remand in the case.
Khandaker Tabakhkharul Islam Tanvir of Buet’s mechanical engineering batch-17 and Amit Saha of civil engineering batch-16 were remanded for three days while Hossain Mohammad Toha of mechanical engineering department was sent to jail.
The court of Metropolitan Magistrate Abu Sayeed passed the order after Md Wahiduzzaman, inspector of Detective Branch (DB) of police and also the investigation officer of the case, produced them before the court.
The inspector prayed for seven-day remand for both Khandaker and Amit.
How was Abrar killed?
Abrar Fahad, a second-year-student of the university’s electrical and electronic engineering department, was beaten to death allegedly by some BCL leaders at Amit’s room between 7:30pm Sunday and 2:30am Monday.
