2 shot by cops in Dhaka

Two people suffered bullet wounds when police opened fire in two separate incidents in Dhaka today.
Alleged picket Masud Islam, 17, was shot by police around 3:45pm following a crude bomb explosion in Dhanmondi-6 area.
Police said Masud was fleeing the scene after exploding the crude bomb.
Meanwhile, Chinu Biswas, 35, was hit by a bullet during a clash between police and activists of Islami Chhatra Shibir in Mirpur's Kalshi area around 1:30pm.
Shibir activists brought out a procession in the area and started hurling stones at the law enforcers. In retaliation, police opened fire at the Shibir procession, leaving Chinu injured.
Both the injured are admitted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
