3 female students hurt as celling fan falls on them

Three female students of Rajshahi Government College were injured as a ceiling fan fell on them shortly after they sat for an examination today.

The injured were identified as Sraboni, Kamrunnahar and Masuma, all of them are honours 2nd year students of History department in the college, our Rajshahi staff correspondent reports quoting Hobibur Rahman, principal of the college.

Among the three, Sraboni has been admitted to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital for treatment while Kamrunnahar and Masuma were given first aid at the same hospital and were later released, said police officials and college teachers.

The incident took place at around 2:00pm when they were sitting for their in-course examination, said the college principal.

The college authority took the girls to the hospital, he also said adding that their injuries were not critical.

Contacted, RMCH Deputy Director Saiful Ferdous said the students received minor injuries.
