Govt agencies ‘kidnap’ Farhad: BNP

BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Rizvi Ahmed today alleged that columnist and writer Farhad Mazhar was “kidnapped” by the law enforcement agencies.

“The incident did not take place without knowledge of the government and law enforcement agencies are behind the kidnap,” Rizvi said while addressing a press conference at the party’s Nayapaltan central office this afternoon.

Rizvi alleged that the government has targeted Farhad in fear of his write-ups.

Citing several instances of such kidnapping including Ilias Ali and Chowdhury Alam, Rizvi said they have been disappeared in the same way but the government has said it does not know anything about the issue by staging many dramas.
