BNP councilor candidate arrested in Dhaka

Police arrested a BNP-blessed councilor candidate from Hazaribagh in Dhaka this morning days ahead of city polls on April 28.

The arrested is Abul Khair Bablu, BNP president of Ward no 15 in Dhanmondi area and a former councilor of that area.

He was arrested from his election campaign at Tali Office area around 10:30am.

Abul was warrant listed in a case filed with Hazaribagh police, Jahangir Alam Sarkar, acting deputy commissioner (media) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police, said. “He has three cases on him filed with Dhanmondi Police Station.”
