Saudi Arabia has provided compensation of Tk 4.52 crore to three Bangladeshi families affected by a crane accident in Makkah during hajj in 2015.
The family of Rubina Akhter Chowdhury, wife of Md Abul Kashem who was killed in the accident received a cheque of TK 2.26 crore.
For all latest news, follow The Daily Star's Google News channel. On other hand, Sarder Abdur Rouf and Nazimuddin, who suffered injuries during the accident, received TK 1.13 crore each from Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen.
The cheque handover ceremony was held at the ministry conference hall today.
Over 100 pilgrims were killed in the crane collapse on September 11, 2015.
