Fire at Dhaka slum under control

Five units of firefighters brought the fire under control which broke out in Baunia Bandh slum under Turag Police Station of Dhaka this morning.

The fire that originated around 10:05am was brought under control after around an hour of frantic efforts, duty officer of Fire Service and Civil Defence headquarters told The Daily Star.

There were no immediate reports of casualties, he said.
