Fire damages furniture at Sonargaon Hotel

Some furniture at Saudi Arabian Airlines’ office was damaged after a fire broke out inside the Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel in Dhaka early today.

The fire broke out at an office on the ground floor of the hotel around 2:40am, sources at Fire Service and Control Room told The Daily Star.

On information, seven firefighting units rushed to the spot and doused the blaze after one hour of frantic effort, the sources said.

However, it is not still clear what caused the fire.
