Fire at Bhasantek slum, 10 houses damaged

A fire broke out at Bhasantek slum in Dhaka early today.

A madrasa, 10 houses and 10 shops were damaged in the fire which broke out last midnight, an official of Bangladesh Fire Service and Civil Defence told The Daily star.

On information, 13 firefighting units reached the scene and managed to control the fire by 1:21 am.

The cause of the fire was yet to be ascertained, last reported.
