A girl’s decomposed body has been recovered from a student’s mess in Mohammadpur of Dhaka.

The girl was identified as Shahara Afroz Shimu, 23, an MBA student of a private university, said Jamaluddin Mir, officer-in-charge of Mohammadpur Police Station.

Police broke open the room’s door, at the second floor of a five-storied building on Babar Road, and found the body hanging from a ceiling fan around 3:00pm, he said.

It is being suspected that the girl died two or three days ago. “Sleeping pills were found at the scene,” the OC said.
