Indian citizen held with gold at Dhaka airport
Customs officials detained an Indian national with gold weighing four kilograms at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka this afternoon.
The detainee Rawshan Ali, 32, landed at the airport around 4:00pm on a Biman flight from Bangkok, said Shahiduzzaman Sarkar, assistant commissioner of the airport customs.
Customs officials searched the belongings of Rawshan on suspicion at Transit Area in the airport and found the gold, he also said.
Detainee, who is a frequent traveler and a transit passenger, was scheduled to leave the county in another flight this evening.
