Ivy ‘feeling better’
The condition of Narayanganj City Corporation Mayor Selina Hayat Ivy, who suffered a brain haemorrhage and now undergoing treatment at Dhaka’s Labaid Hospital, is better today.
“I am feeling better,” Ivy’s personal assistant Abul Hossain quoted the mayor as saying while talking to The Daily Star.

Meanwhile, the doctors conducted a CT scan and MRI on Ivy this morning and said a medical board will be formed to analyse the reports, which are yet to come.
“Based on the report, the medical board will decide how long the mayor will need to stay at the hospital,” the personal assistant said.
Ivy was rushed to the hospital on Thursday two days after she and 50 others were injured as supporters of local Awami League lawmaker Shamim Osman attacked her along with the followers over eviction of street hawkers, leading to a fierce clash in Narayanganj's Chashara area.
Doctors conducted a CT scan on her on Thursday which found that she had suffered brain haemorrhage, which is kind of a stroke.
On Wednesday, Ivy said she would take legal steps against the attackers, alleging that an attempt was made to kill her from just two yards away.
But she suddenly fell ill the following day, and was brought to the Labaid Hospital from Narayanganj.
