Legal notice served to Mastermind school over fees
A Supreme Court lawyer today served a legal notice to the authorities concerned of Mastermind English Medium School at Dhanmondi to withdraw in three days their notice asking its O-Level students to clear all outstanding dues, tuition and lab fees till June by April 18, claiming that charging this extra fee is illegal and arbitrary.
Advocate Amit Das Gupta sent the notice saying that the classes of O-Level students have already been suspended in February and therefore, there cannot be any cogent and rational reasoning to carry on tuition fees from March to June 2019.
He said in the legal notice that the notice issued by the management committee of Mastermind English Medium School on April 10 claiming a huge and bulk amount of money even after suspension of classes without assigning any reason is totally arbitrary, subjective and without any basis.
In the legal notice, Amit Das Gupta said he will take appropriate legal action against the respondents if they don’t withdraw the April 10 notice in three days.
Education secretary, chairman of the governing body of Mastermind English Medium School at Dhanmondiand and its principal have been served the legal notice.
