Memo for university teachers’ separate pay scale

Public university teachers today placed a memorandum to the education ministry demanding separate pay scale for them.
A delegation of Federation of Bangladesh University Teachers’ Association submitted the memorandum including their four-point demand.
For all latest news, follow The Daily Star's Google News channel. The 15-member team, led by the federation’s president Prof Farid Uddin Ahmed, met Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid around 3:00pm and handed him over the memorandum.
In the memorandum, they protested the 8th National Pay Scale terming it “disgraceful and discriminatory” for the university teachers.
In the meeting, the minister assured the teachers that the government will consider their demand.
