Newborn found at DMCH’s bathroom

A newborn girl was found at a bathroom of Dhaka Medical College Hospital this morning.

A woman first saw the baby girl inside the bathroom of ward No.2 of the DMCH building-2 around 6:45am and informed the hospital authorities, inspector Bachchu Mia, also in-charge of DMCH police camp, told The Daily Star.

Informed by the DMCH authorities, a team of police rushed to the hospital. She was admitted to DMCH’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, he added.

However, the parents or any other relatives of the baby were not found till filing this report around 10:20am.
