Seven pieces of decapitated body found in Ashulia
Seven pieces of a man's decapitated body were found in Ashulia on the outskirts of the capital yesterday.
The arms and legs of the man were stuffed in two polythene bags while the other parts were left out in the open beside a road, said police.
Being informed by locals, police recovered the decomposed body parts from Nischintapur area around 8:00am.
Those were dumped there some time in the night, said Ashulia Police Station Officer-in-Charge (Investigation) Javed Masud.
Criminals might have killed him and chopped the body into pieces three to four days ago, said police.
They decapitated the man to hide his identity, said OC Javed.
The body parts were sent to Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College morgue for autopsy, said the OC, adding that an investigation was underway in this connection.
