Cattle market only in designated places: DMP chief

No cattle markets will be allowed to sit outside of areas specifically designated by the city corporations ahead of Eid-ul-Azha, Dhaka Metropolitan Police Commissioner Asaduzzaman Mia said today.

He told this at a meeting at DMP headquarters this morning regarding security and traffic management ahead of Eid-ul-Azha.

He also said that no rawhide will be allowed to get out of Dhaka to prevent smuggling of rawhide.

Besides, there will be multiple layers of security measures ahead of the Eid-ul-Azha, he added.
