Culprits of Banani fire will be sued: Cops

A case will be lodged against the culprits responsible for the Banani fire, Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Commissioner Asaduzzaman Mia said today.

“We have identified owner of the building. There might have been negligence of many people behind the fire. We will file a case on findings of our investigation,” he said.

He made the comment while talking to reporters.

A total of 25 bodies were recovered from inside the 22-storey building and it is the final list, Mia said adding that no one else is missing in the fire incident.

The DMP commissioner published the list of the dead victims based on update of the police control room set up near the fire spot yesterday.
