Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) Mayor Sayeed Khokon yesterday said they would bring all mosques, temples and places of worship under CCTV surveillance to protect them from any untoward attack.

Addressing a cleaning awareness programme at Narinda Gourio Temple as the chief guest, the mayor said over the years, people of Bangladesh were observing their religious ceremonies freely. Khokon urged the dwellers of the city to dump their garbage into designated dust bins every day after 7:00pm.

Secretary to the Shipping Ministry Ashok Madhab Roy, President of Puja Udjapon Parishad Jayonto Sen Dipu, President of Mohanogor Puja Udjapon Parishad JL Bhoumik and leaders of the temple were present, among others, at the programme.
