Fake note factory busted in Dhaka, 2 held

Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) members today claimed to have busted a factory of manufacturing fake currency in Dhaka’s Dhanmondi area.
Acting on a tip-off, a team of Rab-10 conducted a drive at a flat of a building in Dhanmondi in the morning and unearthed the factory, Major Shahriar Ziaur Rahman, second-in-command of Rab-10, told The Daily Star.

The Rab team also detained two persons from the spot, he said.
According to the Rab, the detainees have been manufacturing the fake currency four five years.

The elite force recovered over Tk 1 crore of fake currencies and note manufacturing equipment from the factory, Rab said.
