Fellows start strike in protest, 4 held
Interns at Comilla Medical College Hospital yesterday started an indefinite strike protesting assault on some of their fellows by relatives of a patient.
Police detained four persons in this connection.
Witnesses said Sabuj Bhuiyan, the patient, verbally abused a female intern on Friday night. Later, her colleagues locked in an an altercation with Sabuj who called his relatives -- Sajib, Nazmul and Rajon -- over the phone.
Together they beat up the interns, alleged the victims. On information, police rushed in and detained the four--Sabuj and his relatives.
