Innocents must not face harassment: IGP

Inspector General of Police (IGP) Mohammad Javed Patwary has directed all the policemen to be alert so that innocent persons do not fall victims to any harassment.

He made the comments at a ceremony where 20 newly promoted additional DIGs were adorned with rank badges at the police headquarters today.

The IGP said that every police station should be the centre of police service.

Every individual coming to get service at a station should go back with a smile, he added.

He also urged all the policemen to be alert in this regard.
