A woman and her three goats were killed in a fire in a goat shed in Chowrigachha village of Ghoraghat upazila in Dinajpur early yesterday.

When the fire, which originated from a mosquito coil, started, Rupia Begum, 30, wife of Sirajul Islam, tried to save the cattle, said Faridul Islam, chairman of Bulakipur Union Parishad.

They were burnt after the straw roof collapsed on them, he said.
