Youth murdered in Malibagh

A youth was murdered in Dhaka’s West Malibagh area this afternoon for what is being believed over business conflict.

Mamunur Rashid, 26, was declared dead around 4:00pm, Sub-Inspector Bachchu Miah, in-charge of Dhaka Medical College Hospital, told The Daily Star.

Victim’s elder brother Mortuza Ali Roni said his former business partners – Farhad, Asad, Farid and Sumon – stormed into his flat around 1:00pm.

“They attacked me and beat up my younger brother Mamunur. They pushed him off the stairs on the 4th floor,” Ali told The Daily Star.

They attacked the flat to snatch the documents of a case filed against them for recovering business capital, Ali alleged.
