Woman’s body recovered in Dhaka

Police today recovered the body of a young woman from Fakirapul area of Dhaka after her five days of missing from the same area.

The deceased Opora Akhtar Lucy, 24, went missing on Thurday night, Shiblee Noman, additional deputy commissioner (ADC) of police (Motijheel zone), told The Daily Star.

The body was lying on a lane between two high-rise buildings in the area, police said.

“The victim might have been strangulated to death and then thrown from a building,” the ADC said.

Lucy used to work at a tea stall in the area and lived nearby the place.
