Over 9kg gold seized at Shahjalal

A preventive team of Dhaka customs today seized over nine kg of gold from a flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka.

A total of 80 gold bars weighing around 9.280 kg worth around Tk 4.64 crore were found under the seat no. 19 B and 19 C inside the Biman flight BG72, said a press release.

Acting on a tip-off, the gold bars were recovered from the Dubai-Chittagong-Dhaka-Nepal bound flight that landed at the airport around 2:40pm.
